Takamakie on Kiji-nuri ground, this ground was done on the carved wooden surface with Seshime Urushi, Roiro-Urushi and gold Hiramefun. The Ants were done with Ikkaki-Urushi, colored with Roiro-Urushi, small stones and pieces of dried grasses were covered with Keshifun, gold and silver. The size of this Manju netsuke is 5.2 cm across, 1.2 cm thick. 2009. Russia, private collection.

Takamakie on Kiji-nuri ground, this ground was done on the carved wooden surface with Seshime Urushi, Roiro-Urushi and Kanshitsu. There are silver Hiramefun and "drops of rain" done with silver Marufun. The Ants were done with Ikkaki-Urushi, colored with Kuro-nakanuri Urushi and pink mother-of-pearl for wings of queen, small stones and pieces of dried grasses were covered with Keshifun gold. The size of this Manju netsuke is 5.2 cm across, 1.2 cm thick. Ojime was done in the same way. The cord was handmade. 2021. Portugal, private collection.

"Blue night on a river" was inspired by "A boat on the Sumida River in moonlight", 新井芳宗 / Arai Yoshimune. (1873 - 1945), Takamaki-e on blue Urushi with particles of mother-of-pearl and silver Hiramefun, Roiro Urushi and silver Marufun as a river. Russian collection, spring 2021.

Takamakie on Kiji-nuri, this ground was done on the beautiful wooden surface with Seshime Urushi and gold Hiramefun. The body of the dragonfly and lotus leaves were done with Ikkaki-Urushi and covered with Marufun gold, silver and Kanshitsu-powder, small stones were covered with bronze powder mixed with charcoal. Takamakie on Kiji-nuri, I didn't carve this wooden surface I used this piece as it was, with very interesting defects of its surface, Seshime-Urushi, Roiro-Urushi for effected places, gold Hiramefun. The relieves were done with Takamakie technique with Sumiko-Urushi and Ikkaki-Urush, gold reddish Keshifun and gold dull Marufun, Mother-of-pearls: Paua and Abalon. The size of this Manju netsuke is 2 inches across, ½ inch thick. 2009. Russia, private collection.

Manju netsuke,"Hawk" was carved from a piece of horn, mammoth and amber inlaid details, black Roiro low Takamaki-e done with Kanshitsu, silver and gold Murufun. 5.2 cm across.
